Christmas gifts for the traveler (part two)
Still not sure what you should get your traveling friend or family member for the holidays? There are plenty of options! These next few gifts make excellent stocking stuffers.
Keychain WiFi finder
Why bother taking out your laptop and booting up to find out if the local coffee shop in Paris has free WiFi? This little gadget will help you find a connection without the hassle of handling one of your most expensive possessions in an unfamiliar, crowded place. You can even buy them in bulk! Share the wealth.
Phone cards
Whether your friend/family member is traveling across the continent or the ocean, it’s always a good idea to be able to call home. Some mobile plans are very expensive, and many cell phone carriers charge up to $.50 per minute when you are out of the country! While many people in this great big world carry mobile phones, pay phones are not yet obsolete. And who doesn’t love saving money on a trip? If you just want to say hello and let your family and friends know that you are doing well, a phone card will do just the trick!
Travel alarm clock
Even though many travelers may fly by the seat of their pants, schedules still need to be kept. Museums, churches and other sites are only open for a certain amount of time. And if your traveler is visiting a city for a short period of time, he/she needs to make the most of his/her time there. With a travel-sized alarm clock, the early bird will see be able to see all the sights in just a few days!
