Gettin’ Carried Away

Just before I left London, I was a given a souvenir… for free! However, it wasn’t something I really desired: the sniffles. That’s right, only a week goes by and I am right back to being sick with runny nose and a bit of a sore throat. I started panicking. I had contracted two ear infections over the past four years from flying on a plane while being sick. Knowing I had an almost nine-hour flight ahead of me, I really didn’t know how I would survive without getting sick.

When I got to Heathrow Airport, after I passed through security (rather quickly might I add), I ran around looking for a Boots Pharmacy. I remembered that I bought some EarPlanes earplugs for my flight home from New Orleans a few weeks ago when I was sick, because I already got an ear infection on my flight there. I didn’t want to suffer the same fate on the trip home… and I didn’t! However, that was only a two-hour flight, and my newly purchased EarPlanes would truly be put to the test on this long flight from London to Chicago.

I put the EarPlanes in right before take-off and an hour before landing, as suggested on the box. I am very excited to tell you that I sit here free from ear infections! I flew for almost nine hours, completely stuffed up, with a very congested nasal passage. Having two very positive experiences within the last three weeks from using EarPlanes, I highly recommend them to anyone who has nasal congestion and plans on flying anywhere in the world.
